Delete your account

What happens next

We confirm your request within two business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may first ask you to verify your identity — because a NIMA account can be linked to protected health information, we have to be certain the request comes from the account holder.

What gets deleted

When we delete your app account, we permanently remove:

• Your app profile — name, email address, phone number, and date of birth
• Your login credentials and any social sign-in connections
• Your clinic check-in history recorded through the app
• Appointment reminders, push notification tokens, and app preferences
• Any photos or documents you uploaded through the app

Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered. You will be signed out on every device and will need to create a new account to use the app again.

What we are required to keep

NIMA Wellness is a licensed medical practice. Deleting your app account does not delete your patient medical record, which we are legally obligated to retain:

• Medical records — clinical notes, lab results, prescriptions, and treatment history. California law and HIPAA require these to be retained (generally at least seven years after the last date of service, and longer for patients treated as minors). They remain protected health information and are never sold or used for advertising.
• Billing and payment records — retained for the minimum period required by tax, accounting, and insurance regulations.

These records are kept under our existing patient privacy obligations, separate from the app. To ask about your medical record specifically — including requesting a copy or a correction — contact the clinic directly at info@nimawellness.com.
